LOCATION AND CLIMATE
Brela is a Municipality in Croatia, located in region Central Dalmatia. It is consisted of two settlements: Brela and Gornja Brela (Upper Brela). It is located around 45 km from Split, 15 km from Makarska. Municipality Brela has around 1800 inhabitants.
Brela has beautiful and rich nature and beaches, clean sea. Climate is Mediterranean with hot summers and mild winters.
HISTORY
Name Brela was first time mentioned in 10th century by emperor Konstantin VII Profirogenot. In Brela were found remains from Ilirs and Roman times. During the attacks of Turks, many inhabitates moved to island Brac and Hvar.
